I get the error message "Your computer is missing a Microsoft DirectX component required by Flotilla."

Flotilla requires DirectX to run. DirectX is free and can be downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com/directx

I get the error message "Your computer is missing the Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1 required by Flotilla."

Flotilla requires the XNA Framework to run. The XNA Framework is free and can be downloaded from this link.

I get the error message "Your computer is missing the .NET Framework 2.0 required by Flotilla."

Flotilla requires the .NET Framework to run. The .NET Framework is free and can be downloaded from this link.

Flotilla crashes on my 64-bit Windows 7 system.

There are two possible fixes for this issue.
      Fix 1: Change audio settings
      1. Right-click on your volume control on the bottom-right corner of the screen.
      2. Select "Playback devices"
      3. Right-click on "Digital Output"
      4. Select "Set as Default Device"
      5. Try running Flotilla again.

If that doesn't work, try this:
Fix 2: Reinstall .NET and XNA Redistributable
      1. Download the .NET redistributable
      2. Install the .NET redistributable.
      3. Download the XNA redistributable
      4. Install the XNA redistributable.

How do I run the game in full-screen mode?

You can toggle between fullscreen and windowed mode in the Video Settings menu:
    Options/Help > Options > Video Settings > Fullscreen

How do I make the game run faster?

Low-end PCs or netbooks can improve the framerate by adjusting video settings.
  • Deactivate the Bloom option.
  • Deactivate the Draw Planets option.
  • Choose a lower screen resolution.

These options can be accessed in the Video Settings menu:
    Options/Help > Options > Video Settings

    What are the system requirements?

  • Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7
  • 1GHz processor
  • 1GB available system memory
  • 80MB available hard drive space
  • DirectX-compatible graphics card with Shader Model 1.1

In addition, Flotilla setup includes and installs these packages:
  • DirectX 9.0c
  • .NET Framework 2.0
  • XNA Redistributable 3.1

The installer appears to be frozen.

The installer may appear unresponsive. It is normal for the Flotilla installer to take a few minutes to complete unpacking its files.

Why doesn't Flotilla recognize my gamepad?

Ensure your gamepad is plugged in, and restart Flotilla. If you have multiple gamepads, try having only one connected to your computer.

Where does Flotilla keep my settings files?

User files (high scores, options data, etc.) are located at:
    My Documents/SavedGames/Flotilla/AllPlayers

Where can I see the online scoreboard?

The scoreboard is viewable in the game, under the "Hall of Fame" option. Or, you can see your score online on this handy page: http://www.blendogames.com/flotilla/scores/scores.php
