Jump Jets

HEAT DISSIPATION
Firing jump jets or weapons will create heat buildup. To prevent damage caused by overheating, OSCAR is fitted with a MARKIMARK Blast-Coolant Radiator.

MARKIMARK BCR

MARKIMARK BLAST-COOLANT RADIATOR
Independently powered, the blast-coolant radiator is able to handle temperatures up to 9490º K. Temperature level is measured within the drift chamber and is projected onto cockpit HUD display. A warning will appear if the temperature reaches dangerous levels.

In the event that the radiator exceeds 9490º K, droptank will immediately dry-flush the coolant supply. Droptank will suffer internal damage and total system meltdown may occur. Weapon systems will be off-line for a short duration while radiator is refilled with coolant.

Note that Markimark radiator heat dissipation rate is increased three-fold when environmental conditions are favorable, such as underwater or deep space.

To extract the most performance from the OSCAR, pre-heat and temperature-lock safeguards have been entirely removed from the radiator. If care is not taken, overheat damage can and will cause serious injury to both the droptank pilot and the droptank itself.
 • Do not mix different brand coolants/anti-freeze.
 • Do not use rust inhibitor or anti-rust products.
