ÆLPHA-Q
Shamelessly and stylishly dethrones its ÆLPHA-P predecessor

If you think that the ÆLPHA-P was the end-all be-all of all guns, you are, for the most part, right on the money. The ÆLPHA-P is an upstandingly fancy piece of lead casing one would be hard-pressed to compete against. But the ÆLPHA-Q is so spruced up with bells and whistles that it elevates itself from being a mere gun to being a must-have status symbol. Needless to say, we were quite pleased.

F-Stop for Great Freedom
The aperture of the gun, otherwise known as 'f-stop' to enthusiasts, controls the degree of bullet spread. F-stop dial is easily accessed on the gun barrel housing and is coated with rubber-pleated handgrip. ÆLPHA-Q comes equipped with three f-stop settings, ranging from narrow to wide:

  • F1.4: Tight focus. Ideal for distance shooting.
  • F2.8: Standard 8º cone.
  • F5.6: Riot cluster. Full auto-shotgun spread.
Shutter Galore
Shutter speed is located to the left of the shutter release trigger. Botticelli opted to use a traditional click-dial control scheme, which works fine here since triggercatch uses differential bearings. Shutter speed determines the amount of bullets per shot and delay between shots. The three shutter speeds are:
  • 1 / 1: 1 bullet / 0.1 sec delay. Rapid-fire.
  • 1 / 8: 8 bullets / 0.8 sec delay. Semi-automatic.
  • 1 / 30: 30 bullets / 3.0 sec delay. Rifle.
Second Spitter Theory
Botticelli has wrapped up a nice fish into a nice package and it resulted in a veritable master work. If you are looking for an unlimited-ammunition multi-mode combination rifle, you'll be pleased with what ÆLPHA-Q provides.

Minor cosmetic changes are what make ÆLPHA-Q fantastic.

DEVL: Botticelli
MASS: 19.87 oz

VERDICT: It's shiny, it's new, and it has your name written all over it. The dollartag makes it a pricey and dicy proposition, but rest assured that ÆLPHA-Q will keep you up with the Joneses.
