Blendo Localizer

I released a new tool: Blendo Localizer

What does it do

The purpose of this tool is to help manage localization text assets. It reads CSV or JSON files.

Once a project reaches a certain amount of text assets, you may need a way to search/browse/verify all of it. It’s hard to sort through thousands of text strings, so this tool is intended to help with that.

A more detailed list of functionality can be found at the Blendo Localizer itch.io page.

Context

Blendo Localizer is a cleaned-up version of a tool I made during development of Skin Deep. There’s a writeup about the tool here. It was used extensively while making Skin Deep, for both development and bugfixing.

The main difference between the versions: the Skin Deep version was integrated into the specifics of Skin Deep & idTech4, whereas this new tool is engine-agnostic.

Et al

The functionality and implementation of this tool is very straightforward – it’s all very low-tech. Sometimes a simple tool is all you need!
